FAQ.

Do I have to get items cleaned?

No. We will assess whether the cost of cleaning will be recouped by the sale. If not the item will not be accepted for sale. We obtain discounts with local dry cleaners and happily pass these on to our clients.

When Will My Item Be Listed?

We operate to UK seasons and so your item will be listed at the most appropriate time. Queues vary in length depending on how busy we are and can be anything from 1-8 weeks.

How Do You Set The Price?

We have a lot of experience of auctioning clothes of ebay and we always set realistic start prices and never set reserves. We have to manage the balance between attracting the maximum number of hopeful bidders and eliminating the danger that the item will sell for an unreasonably low price. Please remember it is in our interests to maximize the selling price.

What Are Your Charges?

We charge 50% of the final selling price. Our fee includes VAT and all auction fees. Any unsold items do not incur a fee.

What If My Item Does Not Sell?

We normally re-auction twice after an unsuccessful initial auction though the number of relists is at our discretion. We will contact you periodically with details of any returns. You can then elect whether to collect them, ask us to pop them in the post – or let them go to local charities.
