Designer - Manolo Blahnik
Blahnik was born and raised in the Canary Islands but in 1968, he moved to London to work as a buyer at fashion. In 1970, Blahnik had a chance to meet Diana Vreeland, the editor-in-chief of U.S Vogue, while he was travelling in New York. He then presented his portfolio of his designs at which point she looked him straight in the eye and said, “Young man, do things, do accessories, do shoes.” He never looked back. Blahnik learned the skills of shoe making by visiting shoe factories and talking to pattern cutters, technicians and machine operators. At first, he was designing men’s footwear, but he immediately found that men’s shoes design relatively limiting his imagination and lacking the element of fashion. Beside, when the mainstream shoe styling was still dominated by clumpy platforms in the 1970s, he revived the sleek stiletto heel, which has since become a classic. He believes in the power of heels and the sex appeal they convey.
Shipping & Returns
We aim to send any item out within 36 hours of receiving an order, but the vast majority of the time we send out the same working day. Note we are in the UK and so ship Monday to Friday excluding English Bank Holidays. Most UK packages are sent Royal Mail Special Delivery to arrive the next working day. If you are overseas and you require an item urgently, please let us know and we would be happy to organize expedited shipping.
We have been using Royal Mail as our primary carrier since 2002 and have very few cases of items getting lost in the post, however it does happen very occasionally, as do delivery delays. We will always provide you with the tracking reference for your parcel so if it hasn’t arrived, please do check online as often a delivery has been attempted but perhaps no card has been left. But please get in touch if you have any problems and we will do what we can to help.

If an item is not suitable or it does not fit, we are happy for you to return it, providing you let us know within 3 days of receipt. We would then ask you to return it as soon as possible. All items are sent our tagged and these tags must still be attached to the item in order for us to process your return. Once we have safely received and checked your item we will refund you the cost of the item plus the original postage amount. We do not refund the cost of return postage. Please send items using a tracked and insured service.
If an item is returned as it has been misdescribed (such as the wrong size or the item is damaged) then please let us know immediately. We try to be extraordinarily vigilant however we are human and we do make the ocassional error. In such cases we will happily refund the return postage.
